Over this time, more than 100,000 children and adults in Ukraine have received support from the foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Foundation is a part of the international federation SOS Kinderdorf, which is represented in 138 countries and has 72 years of experience working with children deprived of parental care and families in crisis.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The mission of the organization<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; is to help every child grow up in a loving family. <br><\/span><b>The main feature of the work <\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211; a comprehensive approach to the problem of orphanhood. We work not only with the consequences, but also with prevention, primarily aimed at preserving the family and creating a healthy atmosphere in it. To this end, we provide vulnerable families with children with both material assistance (food packages, hygiene products, medicines) and professional non-material support (consultations with psychologists, teachers, speech therapists, payment for professional courses, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the family cannot be preserved, we help to ensure that the child is brought up in a safe and caring family environment &#8211; foster families, foster and guardianship families, and adoption assistance.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>5 areas of regular activity of SOS Children&#8217;s Villages:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  development of family-based forms of upbringing (foster care, guardianship, etc.);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  support and strengthen families with children in difficult life circumstances;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  Emergency response projects to help families with children affected by the hostilities;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  advocacy activities aimed at developing social services for vulnerable families with children at the community level;&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  work with young people from vulnerable categories to support them on their way to independent living.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SOS Children&#8217;s Villages Ukraine provides assistance on a pro bono basis, at the expense of charitable contributions. Children&#8217;s Services and Military-Civilian Administrations, and long-term agreements with international partners were concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SOS Children&#8217;s Villages provides funding to a consortium of implementing partners: evacuation, shelter, humanitarian assistance, psychosocial support, and protection of IDP families and children affected by the war and forced to move from dangerous settlements where active hostilities are taking place to other regions of Ukraine &#8211; Kyiv, Dnipropetrovs&#8217;k, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, and Lviv regions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the period of winter 2022-2023, the &#8220;Preparation for Winter&#8221; program is in place to provide people from the target category with everything they need to make their winter as comfortable as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In September 2022, the project &#8220;Infrastructure for Foster Families&#8221; was launched to pay for housing rent and repair of housing for IDPs from among the IDPs in the West of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By the end of 2022, it is planned to provide assistance and support to the target audience in the amount of EUR 15
