NGO “Center for Psychological Support ‘Confidence’”

CONFIDENCE. A place where confidence is born.

Leadership

Anastasiia Hrabovyk — Head of the organization, founder and leader of the NGO. She is responsible for the strategic development of the center and its program directions.

History of establishment

The NGO “Center for Psychological Support ‘Confidence’” was founded in 2018 as a professional community of psychologists and psychotherapists united by the idea of creating a safe space for children and families.

The first project was a psychological support camp called “Among Friends”. Later, the organization expanded into systemic psychosocial support programs, inclusive initiatives, and partnerships with communities, including regions affected by war.

Today

CONFIDENCE works at the intersection of psychology, education, and child rights protection.

Vision

We dream of a world where understanding ourselves and others is not a privilege, but a habit. A world where children, adults, families, and communities find their place and feel respect and support.

Mission

We help people understand themselves, accept others, and feel confident in everyday life. So that everyone can care both for themselves and for those around them, without losing their way in complex emotions and constant change.

What the organization offers

  • Psychological support for children, teenagers, parents, adults, and professionals
  • Psychoeducation — simple explanations of complex topics
  • Support for inclusive education — for teachers, teaching assistants, and parents of children with special educational needs
  • A space for self-discovery, recovery, and professional community development

Current projects

“HugMe for You”

A comprehensive psychosocial support program for children and adults in communities of Kharkiv and Sumy regions affected by hostilities.

The project is implemented with support from UNICEF and the European Union. It combines individual counseling, group work, psychoeducation, training for specialists, and case management for families in crisis.

«“A Family for Every Child: Development of Family Foster Care”

A systemic support project for children through psychological accompaniment of foster families and family-type children’s homes.

The project focuses on the child’s emotional safety, the development of a stable family environment, and strengthening professionals working with families.

Ongoing awareness initiatives

CONFIDENCE consistently works to increase psychological and legal awareness among parents and professionals about:

  • the rights of children with special educational needs
  • inclusive education
  • individual development plans (IEP)
  • cooperation with inclusive resource centers (IRC) and educational institutions

The goal of these initiatives is to build a culture of understanding, partnership, and respect for children’s rights.
