This weekend we helped 12-year-old Danylo return to free Ukraine from the temporarily occupied territories
During the occupation, the boy’s mother died. Danylo’s aunt did everything possible to take him to her, but the conditions were constantly changing.
In September, the boy was supposed to be placed in an orphanage in the TOT, but thanks to our joint efforts, we managed to avoid this.
The Ukrainian Child Rights Network and the Ministry of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine helped with the necessary documents, thought through the logistics to the last detail and organized a safe return.
We rejoice together with Danylo and his family, who were finally able to hug him.
*Names have been changed for security reasons.
The return is part of Bring Kids Back UA.
