NGO “Responsible citizens”

The NGO “Responsible Citizens” started its activities as an initiative group of residents of Donetsk region in 2014 to help people affected by the military conflict in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Principles that guide the organization: Humanity, apoliticalnature,neutrality,transparency andpublicity.

The organization’s assistance is divided into several main areas:

1. Direct humanitarian aid in goods and services.

2. Assistance in accessing healthcare and education for those who cannot do so on their own.

3. Informing residents of the ATO zone about the mine threat.

4. Implementation of projects to find recipients and organize the delivery of humanitarian aid in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

5. Increase activity in local communities and groups of compact residence of temporarily displaced persons.

6. For better cooperation and improvement of the quality of assistance, the organization works in close contact with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

7. 7. Informing the public about the needs and problems faced by people in the conflict zone through foreign and Ukrainian media representatives.

Partners and Donors in the projects: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, World Food Program, International Organization for Migration, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), People in Need, Save the Children, Médecins Sans Frontières, Danish Refugee Council, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and others.
